There were so many moments where I laughed, cried, hugged and beamed with excitement, alongside people I felt I’d known forever rather than those I’d only just met, and the communal sense of joy that we all shared created such a beautiful and harmonious energy exchange between us as singers and our audience.
The underlying theme of the Waraku concert was World Fusion and it truly was in every sense of the word, combining a mix of cultures, musicians, languages and song styles. For me it felt like I was part of a very special global harmony family, joining together to celebrate in song, and I very much hope that we will have the opportunity to see this family grow in years to come so that more people around the world can experience and share these feelings of connectedness with each other through the universal language of music.
